Ghandruk is a small
village that lies in Kaski district at north which is a trekking destination
for visitors in Nepal. It is a village which possesses Gurung community. Annapurna
range view and Machhapuchhre mountain view is the major cause of this trek
popularity with some popularity of Gurung cultures and food served here. There
is also museum to show the Gurung art and culture. There is a two way trek for
this beautiful village that is about 2600 m altitude.
Firstly, you can get
drive to Nayapul from Pokhara and walk four to five hours way to Ghandruk which
is the main destination of the trek following beautiful mountainous range of Annapurna
and Machhapuchhre. While departing from Ghandruk you can come another way by
walking five to six hours from Ghandruk to Pothana and more 2 hours from
Pothana to Phedi and from that you can get drive to Pokhara city. You can plan
3 day trek for this glorious trekking route.
